Clown, juggler, comedian, artist.
Hello! I’m Darryl J. Carrington – a juggling clown with over two decades of experience making people laugh, wonder, and play.
I trained at Circomedia School of Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre and have since been creating, producing, and performing unique comedy juggling shows around the world!
From intimate cabarets to major outdoor festivals, my work brings together physical comedy, world-class juggling, and a unique flair for audience connection.
Whether I’m centre-stage in a full-length show like Out of the Box, hosting a cabaret act, or leading a workshop – my aim is always the same: to surprise, delight and remind us all of the power of PLAY.
As a neurodiverse artist with ADHD, I’m committed to increasing visibility and normalising neurodiversity for the benefit of both neurotypical and neurodiverse audiences.
The superpower of my neurodiversity is that I will always see interesting intersections between what I have to offer and what you are trying to achieve!
I’m also a renowned juggling teacher, leading workshops in community engagement and team building, as well as improving athletes’ reaction times.

My work spans three main areas:
-
I create and tour original clown and juggling shows designed for all kinds of spaces and audiences. My current show Out of the Box is a joyful visual comedy that celebrates silliness, skill, and connection—without saying a word.

I love working with other artists to help bring their ideas to life. Whether you’re building a new act, refining a show, or just want a fresh perspective—I offer creative direction and mentoring that’s curious, encouraging and collaborative. I’m not here to take over your vision; I’m here to help unlock it.
